Gophers cornerback Briean Boddy-Calhoun said he's grateful he's not in the cleats of embattled quarterback Mitch Leidner.
"I'm glad I'm not Mitch," Boddy-Calhoun said.
But he commended Leidner on how he's handling fan reaction to the Gophers' stuck-in-neutral offensive performance in Minnesota's 10-7 win Saturday over Kent State.
Minutes before Leidner was asked about his confidence during Tuesday's news conference, the redshirt junior showed Boddy-Calhoun that his conviction remains sky high.
"He was like, 'People are talking about me, but I don't understand how they say you guys are the best' and blah, blah, blah, 'I'll score 100 points on you guys,' " Boddy-Calhoun said.
