The Gophers' men's tennis team entered the NCAA tournament with one specific goal in mind -- win a match.
Mission accomplished.
The 25th-ranked Gophers (21-7) knocked off No. 36 Princeton 4-1 in the first round of the tournament Friday in Charlottesville, Va.
"We were just focused on today," Minnesota coach Geoff Young said. "We wanted to win so we could keep going."
Young said his squad woke up quickly after it dropped the doubles point to fall down 1-0 early in the match.
