University of Minnesota coach Richard Pitino will get to test his young basketball team with a road game Dec. 12 against Oklahoma State at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Pitino had been searching for another quality opponent to challenge his team before the Big Ten Conference season. The Gophers have a couple of early tests in November, playing in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off from Nov. 19-22 and in a Big Ten-ACC Challenge home game against Clemson on Nov. 30.
Minnesota is adding seven new recruits to a team that finished 18-14 overall and 6-12 in the Big Ten last season.
