And for most of last season, the sophomore forward for the University of Minnesota hockey team wasn't feeling good.
The Stockholm, Sweden, native spent most of his freshman season adjusting to everything that came with college hockey, and that included a new language, new school, new coach and new style of play.
All the changes made for a tough first year on campus for Bristedt, but things are looking up in year two.
He leads the Gophers (4-7) in points (12) and goals (7) as they begin Big Ten Conference play this weekend at home against Ohio State (3-9), and has begun to settle in as one of the team's most skilled players.
