Gophers offensive coordinator Matt Limegrover didn't want to compare Brandon Lingen to Maxx Williams on Tuesday. Lingen, Minnesota's current tight end, hadn't caught a touchdown pass before last week, while Williams was last year's star and was picked in the second round of the NFL draft by the Baltimore Ravens.
Limegrover instead compared Lingen to a reptile.
"He's like a chameleon: Anything you ask of him, he's able to adapt and do," Limegrover said.
Lingen, a sophomore from Wayzata, caught his first two career touchdown passes in a 41-13 win over Purdue on Saturday.
