Gophers cornerback Jalen Myrick is likely out the rest of the season, the result of a rib injury that hospitalized him after Saturday's 28-14 loss to No. 2 Ohio State.
Myrick remained in a Columbus, Ohio, hospital until Tuesday morning, interim coach Tracy Claeys said.
Claeys believes Myrick will be recover, but not in time to play Saturday vs. No. 8 Iowa in Iowa City or the final two home games at TCF Bank Stadium against Illinois Nov. 21 and Wisconsin and Nov. 28.
Myrick was injured on game's first play, a 23-yard return of the opening kickoff, but stayed in the game for the first half.
