The Gophers backup quarterback job appears to be coming down to redshirt freshman Jacques Perra and true freshman Demry Croft, while Chris Streveler is spending more time at other positions.
"Jacques Perra has done a good job; (Croft) has done a good job," Gophers coach Jerry Kill said. "We are still working Streveler there some."
Streveler, last season's backup quarterback, again Wednesday walked off the practice field wearing a white practice jersey. That's an indication that he played a position other than quarterback. QBs wear yellow no-contact jerseys in practice.
Streveler impressed Kill during Thursday's scrimmage with his versatility to play tight end and H-back.
