Gophers freshman center Tyler Moore tweeted Thursday night that he will remove his redshirt to start Saturday against Purdue in West Lafayette, Ind.
Gophers coach Jerry Kill has said removing Moore's redshirt was a possibility this season, but with eight starters out for Saturday's game that will come to fruition.
"It'll be my first ever collegiate start!" Moore tweeted from the account @Ohh--MOE. "I thank god for this opportunity."
Moore, 6-foot-4, 306 pounds, was listed as a backup to Brian Bobek on Thursday's depth chart.
Elsewhere on the offensive line, Josh Campion moving to backup at right and left tackle.
