COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Gophers were missing both starting defensive tackles against No. 1 Ohio State and its Heisman Trophy candidate running back Ezekiel Elliott at Ohio Stadium on Saturday night.
Steven Richardson, who has been a force in the middle of the Minnesota defense, was announced as out with an undisclosed injury on Saturday afternoon. Scott Ekpe was listed as out on the depth chart released Thursday.
Richardson pulled a calf muscle while running over an agility bag in practice, interim coach Tracy Claeys told KFXN-FM before the game.
