After firing two offensive coaches Sunday, Minnesota football coach Tracy Claeys said Monday he doesn't want to drastically alter how the Gophers play.
"We're not going to blow up the whole offense and restart all over," he said.
Offensive coordinator Matt Limegrover and quarterbacks coach Jim Zebrowski were let go Sunday, and Claeys said the primary reason was a muddled organizational chart with too many shared responsibilities. Limegrover, also the team's offensive line coach, and passing coordinator Zebrowski shared play-calling duties.
"Had it been structured one guy in charge and doing all that, I could've lived with it, I really could have," Claeys said.
