The latest standout tight end for Minnesota gets some early preseason love.
As the weekend draws to a close, I wanted to catch up on some news that life prevented me from spending more time on during the last week. The big thing I wanted to spend more time talking about was Brandon Lingen’s appearance on the John Mackey Award watch list. For anyone who might have forgotten, the Mackey Award is given to the nation’s top tight end every season (i.e. the award that Maxx Williams should have won in 2014).
Brandon may not be coming into the season with as much hype as Maxx did in 2014, but he has certainly proven his worth to the Gophers in their first year post-Williams:
