Five things to watch this season in the Big Ten.
Penn State’s Next Step
The Nittany Lions finished last season higher than expected, third place in the Big Ten. Penn State was powered by an offense that placed sixth in the country with 3.68 goals per game and better goaltending than expected. While the season was impressive for Penn State, the progress probably won’t hold. In the offseason, the Nittany Lions lost many players, including a core group of leadership in Tommy Olczyk, Luke Juha and David Glen.
Penn State did a great job starting a program from scratch and getting competitive quickly.
