After sharing the regular season B1G title with both Penn State and Northwestern, the Gophers Women’s Soccer team claimed the B1G Tournament title with a 2-1 win over Rutgers on Sunday at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium. This is the first time in program history the team has won both the regular season championship and tournament championship in the same season. With the tournament win, the team automatically qualifies for the 64 team NCAA tournament, with a very strong chance of a high seed and hosting games.
