The Wisconsin Herd might just have the Maine Red Claws’ number as they cemented a wire-to-wire 106-94 victory Friday night at the Portland Expo Building to give the Herd their second win in six days over the Boston Celtics’ affiliate.
Things got off to a rocking start for the Herd as they took a double-digit lead at the 7:40 mark of the first quarter. That only expanded into the 20-point range in the latter minutes of the period and with the Red Claws struggling to shake a three-and-a-half minute scoring drought, the Herd held a 38-15 lead through one.
