The six oldest teams in the NBA this season (Mavericks, Spurs, Grizzlies, Clippers, Bulls, Wizards) will be in the playoffs. The four youngest teams in the NBA this season (76ers, Jazz, Magic, Timberwolves) will not.
This is pretty normal. Last season, the six oldest teams made the playoffs, while the nine youngest teams missed out. This also makes sense. The young teams are the intentionally rebuilding teams. Just about everyone on their rosters is on the way up, not yet in their primes. Most of these teams do not even think to hope for the playoffs.
