The Utah Jazz just recently lost their 2014 No. 5 overall draft pick in Dante Exum for the upcoming season to a left ACL injury that he suffered while playing for the Australian national team in early August. Much like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Exum is an up and coming youngster in this league, and a prized possession on his team.

Whenever an incident like this occurs while a player is playing for a team other than his own professional team the question comes up, should NBA players be allowed to play for any other teams while under contract?
