Ron Blomberg was Milwaukee Bucks, UW basketball broadcaster

Ron Blomberg became a familiar voice to Milwaukee Bucks fans in the early 1970s as he teamed with Eddie Doucette on television and radio broadcasts.

Blomberg died at age 87 on Dec. 7 after a long battle with multiple myeloma, a blood cancer. His funeral is Monday at the Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 1875 N. Calhoun Road in Brookfield. A visitation will begin at 4 p.m. with the service at 7.

Blomberg also was a successful high school boys basketball coach and was inducted into the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 1980 and the Brookfield Central High School Hall of Fame in May of this year.
