Shooters shoot, and that’s exactly what C.J. Miles did all season long with the Indiana Pacers. The wing player, who has played fairly evenly at small forward and shooting guard for most of his career, will enter NBA free agency coming off of a season that saw him hit 40 percent from deep for the first time in his career.
The 30-year-old Miles had a player option for next season, to stay with Indiana, but he declined it in search of other offers. We’ll get more into that decision later, but suffice it to say Miles wasn’t dumb to turn down the option year.
