The Milwaukee Bucks exorcised their demons last week by sweeping the Miami Heat in the first round of this year’s playoffs.

Unfortunately, one dark spot looms large over an otherwise spotless series: Donte DiVincenzo’s torn foot tendon. The dependable guard started 69 games this season, but his untimely injury leaves Milwaukee scrambling to supplement his production and fill a lineup vacancy.

Despite starting Pat Connaughton in the Bucks’ series clinching victory over the Miami Heat, Bucks head Mike Budenholzer has spoken about the game-to-game challenge of replacing DiVincenzo in the starting lineup as he told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Jim Owczarski:

“At this stage, you just do whatever it takes,” Budenholzer said of how he’ll approach filling DiVincenzo’s minutes.
