Giannis Antetokounmpo Officially Named Cover Athlete for NBA 2K19

So it was true the entire time! How shocking! How wonderful!

The screenshot leaked a little over a week ago and ruined the surprise, but the official announcement came through yesterday: Giannis Antetokounmpo will be the cover athlete for NBA 2K19, making him the first Milwaukee Bucks player and first international NBA player to do so.

Getting your face on the cover of 2K is a big deal, and it represents another step on Giannis’ path to NBA superstardom. It’s funny to think that, five years ago, this is the face that we knew (and nobody else really thought about):

Now, Giannis is the face of yet another franchise.
