The Milwaukee Bucks have surfaced as a D'Angelo Russell trade suitor in recent days, as reported by HoopsHype's Michael Scotto. However, any thought of Russell landing in the 414 was short-lived. Per NBA insider Marc Stein (subscription required), the Bucks were only interested in trading for Russell if he declined his player option for next season to return on a minimum contract.
That wasn't something he was willing to do.
Bucks unlikely to get D'Angelo Russell
It's not shocking that Russell isn't jumping to decline his option. He's currently logging a career-low 19 minutes per game, and his production reflects it.
