Per The Athletic’s Eric Nehm, the Milwaukee Bucks and third-year wing Andre Jackson Jr. have agreed to push back the guarantee date on Jackson’s contract for the 2025-26 season. In exchange for pushing back the date, a portion of Jackson’s $2.2m salary is now guaranteed.
The logic behind this for the Bucks could be to get more financial flexibility. The team may want some more time to explore trade or waive scenarios, but that’s just speculation. Needless to say, the clock is ticking for the former college national champion, who has had a volatile first two years in the league.
