With the NBA Playoffs under a week away, we’re bringing in the big guns for Questions & Antlers this week, starting with play-by-play announcer Lisa Byington! We’re very thankful for her taking some time out from a super busy time of year preparing for the postseason to answer our and your questions.
Lisa took over as the voice of the Bucks on TV beginning with the 2021–22 season, the first woman to become a full-time play-by-play announcer for a major men’s pro sports team. And that’s not the only first she’s had in hoops: earlier that year she became the first woman to call a nationally-televised men’s tournament game in NCAA history.
