Bucks forward Steve Novak was a student at Brown Deer High School (Brown Deer, Wis.) when he had his first interaction with Heat guard Dwyane Wade. During one of Wade’s recruitment visits at Marquette, Novak played with him and several others in a pick-up basketball game. After that game, Novak was blown away by Wade’s strength and talent. He told his family and friends he just played with a future NBA star. Little did he know at the time, Wade would eventually become his teammate and one of his closest friends.
Novak and Wade became teammates at Marquette during the 2002-03 season.
