NEW YORK -- Wilmer Flores, who famously shed tears at shortstop on the night he thought he'd been traded to the Brewers in 2015, beat his almost-team with a home run to give the Mets a 3-2 walk-off win on Sunday afternoon at Citi Field.
Brewers reliever Matt Albers had retired Yoenis Cespedes and Todd Frazier to open the ninth, and was a strike away from forcing extra innings when he put Flores in an 0-2 count. After just missing the strike zone with a sinker, Albers came back with another, but he left it up in the zone, and Flores hit it into the seats in left-center field.
