Garrett Mitchell’s injury-leaden career with the Milwaukee Brewers keeps on going.
Mitchell recently injured his shoulder while playing in a rehab game for Nashville and was pulled from his assignment. After having some tests performed, the initial diagnosis is the injury dislodged some of the anchors in his shoulder from a previous shoulder surgery. The recommendation is another shoulder surgery to repair it, per Steve Adams on MLB Trade Rumors. That surgery would keep him out of action for an additional eight to ten weeks, though Mitchell is seeking a second opinion.
Should Mitchell undergo the surgery, the timeline would put his return in late August at best, though more likely would be in September.
