Fresh off a series sweep of the Pirates, the Milwaukee Brewers welcomed the Cincinnati Reds to town for a three-game series that started on Monday night. The Brewers sent Eric Lauer to the mound, and things did not exactly go very well for him.
The Reds pounced on Lauer early in the first inning. Jonathan India led off the game with a single, then moved to second when Jesse Winker walked. Nick Castellanos moved both runners up with a productive out, then Tyler Stephenson walked to load the bases. Joey Votto brought the game’s first run home with an RBI groundout, making it 1-0.
