Punchless offense dooms Brewers once again in 4-1 loss to Cubs

Another day, another nine inning struggle for the Milwaukee Brewers as they continue to be held down by a dormant offense. Gio Gonzalez started for the Crew today, but was on a short leash after dealing with shoulder issues during his last start. After working around a walk in the first inning, Gonzalez allowed the Cubs to score their first run in the second inning. Javier Baez led off with a triple, then scored on a one-out wild pitch to make it 1-0.

That would be the only run yielded by Gonzalez, who lasted 4.1 innings before getting pulled at 71 pitches.
