Brandon Woodruff went six two-hit innings and the offense provided ample run support as Milwaukee took the series opener in Seattle, 6-0.
Through five innings, this game was a good old fashioned pitchers’ duel. Mariners starter George Kirby carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning, while Woodruff didn’t allow his second hit until the fifth and looked perhaps the best he has all season:

Kirby’s no-no was broken up by none other than Joey Ortiz, who laced a line drive into left field with one out in the top of the sixth.
