Milwaukee Brewers place Brandon Woodruff on paternity list, send Corey Knebel to Appleton on a rehab assignment, recall RHP Trey Supak, and select RHP Justin Topa

The Brewers have a couple of roster spots to fill before tonight’s game. They have an open roster spot following the trade of David Phelps, and Brandon Woodruff is expecting the birth of a child shortly. As a result, the Brewers made a couple of roster moves prior to tonight’s game.

First, they officially placed Brandon Woodruff on the paternity list. Woodruff had pitched yesterday, allowing four runs in five innings pitched. Paternity list stints are three days in length, so Woodruff should be back in time to make his next start (which will likely be Friday in Cleveland).
