The Milwaukee Brewers have made a roster move before the start of their series with the Arizona Diamondbacks, but it might not be the one that many people have been expecting. Yesterday, Alec Bettinger was optioned to down Triple-A Nashville, and today the Brewers announced that Hoby Milner has been recalled to take the open spot on the active roster.
Bettinger’s year of riding the shuttle continues, as he was called up from Nashville on the May 29th to serve as the extra man for the double header in Washington, then was optioned back down, then was recalled almost immediately to fill in for the injured Angel Perdomo, and now he goes back down.
