Eric Thames had to make a diving stop to rob Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas of a base hit. Thames flipped the ball to pitcher Dan Jennings to record the out, but came up shaking his hand and grimacing. Jesus Aguilar took over first base in the ninth inning for the Milwaukee Brewers as Thames was tended to by the training staff.
