Milwaukee Brewers clinch final postseason spot in National League

The Milwaukee Brewers have made the postseason for the third consecutive year.

The Brew Crew failed to get things done against the St. Louis Cardinals today, losing their final game of the regular season to finish 29-31. But they got the help that they needed, with the Giants losing to San Diego 5-4 and the Phillies falling to Tampa Bay 5-0. That chain of events allowed the Brewers to back into the expanded postseason as the #8 seed.

This marks the first time in franchise history that the Brewers have made the playoffs for three years in a row.
