Injury updates: Brandon Woodruff dealing with ankle injury, Jose Quintana’s next start pushed back

The Brewers’ starting rotation is getting healthier, but it hasn’t been a smooth road to recovery. This week started with a small hit as two of their starting pitchers are dealing with new (but small) injuries.

The first injury is to Brandon Woodruff. While he was expected to make his season debut on Saturday, that has been delayed. Adam McCalvy reports that Woodruff was dealing with ankle tendinitis prior to his rehab start on Sunday. He will rest for a week before making another rehab start. This will push his return to the majors back at least a week, though we will have to wait and see the exact time frame.
