If you tuned in to yesterday afternoon's Milwaukee Brewers game against the San Francisco Giants, you may have noticed something different about the Crew's uniforms. Replacing names such as Yelich, Durbin, and Frelick on the back of the Brewers' jerseys was a one-syllable nickname: Ueck.
The Brewers honored the legendary broadcaster Bob Uecker with a Celebration of Life that took place throughout their series finale against the Giants on Sunday afternoon. Prior to the game beginning, Uecker's family and friends shared their favorite memories about Mr. Baseball in a touching tribute moderated by Ueck's former booth partner, Bob Costas.
