Brewers sneak away with 4-3 win over Pirates despite struggles with runners in scoring position

The Brewers escaped with a victory Tuesday night, as a four-run second inning was just enough for Milwaukee to beat the Pirates in a 4-3 victory highlighted by Sal Frelick, who had a pair of nice catches and his first homer of the season.

After Andrew McCutchen started the game at second base with the help of a Christian Yelich error in left, Bryan Reynolds moved him over with a flyout, but Joe Ross stranded him at third with strikeouts of Oneil Cruz and Jack Suwinski.

The Brewers immediately came back with a threat of their own in the bottom of the frame, as Brice Turang and William Contreras both singled to put runners at the corners with no outs.
