MILWAUKEE -- Baseball's busiest team struck again Monday, when the Brewers reportedly struck a two-year, $5 million agreement with free-agent reliever Matt Albers that is pending a physical exam.
The club didn't comment on the deal, which was first reported by MLB Network insider Ken Rosenthal and Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet. Assuming there are no issues with Albers' physical, the Brewers will have to clear space for him on their full 40-man roster.
Albers, 35, has already pitched in the Majors for seven different teams over the past 12 seasons and has been getting better with age, compiling a 2.
