Brewers keep on rolling as they beat the Padres, 5-1

The final home stand of the season began tonight for the Milwaukee Brewers, and their opponent was the San Diego Padres who are in town for four games. Zach Davies got the start for the Brew Crew. Former Angels’ ace Garrett Richards, took the mound for the Padres for the first time in 2019 since signing a two-year deal following Tommy John.

Milwaukee scored first in this one. Ryan Braun led the inning off with a laser beam into the right-center field gap, resulting in a double. He advanced to third via a wild pitch by Richards. Cory Spangenberg was able to plate Braun with a single up the middle, and the Brewers were off and going, 1-0.
