Brewers cap off impressive weekend with record-breaking win

Wow. What a weekend for the Milwaukee Brewers' offense. After a huge series win over the Chicago Cubs last week, the Brewers didn't let an underwhelming trade deadline dampen their spirits. Instead, they traveled to Washington D.C. where they had one of the best series in franchise history, which was chock-full of memorable performances and record-breaking feats.

It began with an emphatic 16-9 win in the series opener on Friday night. With recent trade acquisition Brandon Lockridge leading off, the Brewers offense exploded for a season-high 25 hits, including five from William Contreras. Every single Brewer in the starting lineup had at least one hit, and all but one had multiple hits.
