The Brewers announced today that they are beginning the search for a new general manager to replace Doug Melvin, who will move to an advisory role.
With the Brewers struggling in 2015 and a rebuild on the horizon, Doug Melvin's status had been in question for a while. It was uncertain if Melvin would stick around for another Brewers rebuild or not. Today, we got some resolution on that question. Adam McCalvy reported this morning that the Doug Melvin will move to an advisory role and the search for a new GM will begin:
