Garry Monk has been named as the new manager of Middlesbrough on a three-year deal.
Monk departed Championship side Leeds United a fortnight ago after failing to agree terms on a new contract at Elland Road.
Sportsmail revealed on May 18 that Monk and Nigel Pearson were the frontrunners for the position and they were subsequently interviewed.
