The reality of Premier League life is beginning to hit home for Middlesbrough following Saturday's 3-1 loss at Everton.
A couple of contentious moments in the penalty area didn't detract from what was an accomplished victory for the Toffees, with Boro unable to cut through a solid midfield. Boro boss Aitor Karanka will have plenty to mull over before Tottenham arrive at the Riverside next weekend.
Positives
Boro didn't completely fall to pieces, keeping the deficit to two goals. However, Everton were happy to sit back on their lead and maybe didn't push Boro as much as they could have.
