Coventry City 2-0 Middlesbrough: Viktor Gyokeres and Martyn Waghorn on target for Sky Blues

Coventry City kept up their 100% winning start at home with victory over Middlesbrough at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

Viktor Gyokeres grabbed his third of the season in the 71st minute as he rounded goalkeeper Joe Lumley to put them in front.

Debutant Andraz Sporar was close to an equaliser for Boro when he hit the bar before Martyn Waghorn sealed the points in injury time.

Coventry climb up to sixth, while it is now four games without a win for the visitors.

Their manager Neil Warnock had brought in three players just before the transfer window closed but only Onel Hernandez was in from the start.
