The investigation into a murder being probed by counter terrorism police is centred around a house shared by migrants, who are thought to be asylum seekers.

An end terraced property in Wharton Terrace, Hartlepool, Co Durham, has been sealed off by police and a forensic team arrived today to continue sifting through the property.

Neighbours said the terraced house is occupied by three or four asylum seekers, who have been there since the start of year, with one of them allegedly arrested for murder and attempted murder.

It is thought the incident which led to two people being stabbed, one of them fatally, began at the house around 5.
