Adam Forshaw is due for a medical at Leeds United on Thursday after Middlesbrough accepted a bid worth £4million.
Thomas Christiansen is poised to land the sought-after midfielder ahead of Neil Warnock.
Cardiff were also strongly in the hunt but Forshaw has elected to make the switch to Yorkshire rather than Wales.

It is expected personal terms between Forshaw and Leeds will be finalised swiftly, enabling the 26-year-old to join Christiansen’s side in time for Saturday’s game against Millwall.
