CARACAS, Venezuela – Middle Tennessee freshman will be headed to Venezuela this weekend to compete in the 2016 Davis Cup for his home country, Paraguay.
Paraguay will face Venezuela in the first round of Group II action in the Americas bracket, which starts on Friday and runs through Sunday. There are eight teams in the Americas bracket of Group II. Losing nations will be relegated to Group III in 2017, while the winning nation will be promoted to Group I next year.
Zatar is 19-6 in singles for the Blue Raiders in 2015-16, with a 10-2 mark in singles action in the spring season.
