MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee snapped a two-game losing streak Friday with a 3-0 win over Kennesaw State to kick off the weekend series at Reese Smith Jr. Field.
It was the first shutout of the season for the Blue Raiders.
"Our offense has had its good games, and today they threw a good pitcher but we were able to scratch a few runs across," redshirt sophomore relief pitcher Tyler Holcombe said. "Our pitching was awesome today, so if we can keep that up we'll be ok. It was a pretty awesome feeling to get that shutout.
