DELAND, Fla. – The Middle Tennessee women's tennis team closed out its fall season this weekend, competing in the Stetson Invite on Thursday, November 4 through Sunday, November 7.
The Blue Raiders were initially scheduled to start play on Friday, November 5, but due to inclement weather heading into the DeLand area, Stetson moved some of the matches a day earlier to avoid the rainy weather. On the opening day, the Blue Raiders won four doubles matches. Lilly-Sophie Schmidt and Muskan Gupta teamed up for a pair of wins, defeating FAMU's Harden and Porter, 6-1, and then following it up with their second win of the day as they downed FAMU's Salina and Clayton, 6-4.
