KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Back-to-back Conference USA champions Middle Tennessee open the 2016-17 season Monday with a tough challenge as it takes on the field at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship.
The tournament, hosted by Tennessee, will be played at Cherokee Country Club in Knoxville with the first 36 holes on Monday and the final 18 on Tuesday.
Cherokee will be setup as a 5,897 yard, Par 71 course for the competition that features seven teams who finished the 2015-16 season ahead of the No. 53 ranked Blue Raiders in the Golfstat rankings.
