HOOVER, Ala. – Blue Raider Women's Golf had some rust to shake off as they returned to competitive action on Monday at the Hoover Invitational, concluding a 36-hole day in eighth place at 27-over par (306-297=603).
Middle Tennessee struggled in the back half of the opening round, going 14-over after the turn to post an 18-over par round before cutting that number in half to go 9-over par in the afternoon.
"We saw some improvement in the second round, but just had a little bit too slow of a start in the first round of the day," Head Coach Chris Adams said.
